Our programmes have an underlying theme - to build independence, self-esteem, inner strength, personal responsibility, self-motivation and purposefulness - ultimately, to help people to get the life or job that they want.

GOALS and the Homeless Sector
OSW have fully integrated the GOALS two-day motivational course within its services to hard-to-reach homeless and disadvantaged people. Employment outcomes amongst the GOALS programme participants are exceptional – currently 54% of GOALS programme participants have achieved their goal of employment and a further 10% are participating in volunteering activity.

Revitalises Agency Staff
Training to deliver GOALS revitalises staff who might be a bit burnt out, de-sensitised or demoralised
by difficult clients. Staff see themselves more as part of the solution and less as an obstacle to their clients.
So, not just participants, but also the facilitators take a great deal of value from GOALS.

Helping Families to take positive steps forward
GOALS helps parents to build their confidence and abilities to positively parent their children. They learn tools and techniques that enable them to take sensible and positive action for the future and for themselves and their families.
GOALS is a common sense programme, (but common sense is not always common practice). Sometimes we all need a refresher course in how to do the right thing and how to be a good role model to our children.
